Aaron Weber · Movement · Awareness · Connection

Discipline can enhance our quality of life - when we practise it not in enduring, but in noticing.

I’m Aaron. In one-to-one sessions, retreats and workshops, I bring together conversation, bodywork and movement. I’m interested in exploring the moments in relationship when connection becomes tangible - and in lingering there a little longer.

Why embodiment?

Old responses often begin before you can make a conscious choice.

We may know our story well and still fall into old responses: the chest tightens, we adapt, withdraw or simply keep functioning. This is not a lack of insight. Our body has learned to protect us quickly.

Embodiment means not only explaining this response, but noticing it as it begins: Where does it start? What changes in the breath, tension, or the impulse to leave, stay or say no? This can create a little more space between a trigger and the familiar response.

The body is not the answer to everything. Yet in small, manageable steps, a different experience can emerge: I can sense myself, stay connected and still choose.

This missing layer can also matter with chronic symptoms-especially when individual diagnoses or treatments do not explain why the body seems to remain caught in alarm, exhaustion or pain.

Aaron

My body has taught me more than movement alone.

Dance and other movement practices were long my way of connecting with myself and others. Chronic illness and physical limitations changed that connection. It raised questions that continue to shape my work today.

I am in advanced Somatic Experiencing (SE) training at the Centre for Inner Ecology (ZIO) in Zurich.

Il Convento · Lunigiana

A place where many things come together.

This is where I live. Il Convento hosts the Silent New Year retreat and the Convento Ceremony. In August, the Ceremony invites people to spend a few days in movement, silence and connection.

We are also planning permaculture projects here for winter 2026/27 and the following spring. I’ll share news when the plans become more concrete.
